About Dillamore
History
Dillamore Funeral Service was established in Leighton Buzzard in 1923 and has been on the same premises since it opened.
The company was originally started by Samuel Robert Dillamore as a furniture maker, house furnisher, decorator, upholsterer and eventually an undertaker.
The company has been held in the Dillamore family since the beginning and handed down generation to generation. During the Second World War, the family maintained operations and also had Samuels son, Frederick, serve on war duty. Frederick later went on to have his own son, Richard Dillamore, who took over the management of the business in the late 1970s and has maintained the same level of professionalism and service that made the business so respected at the start.
